Irma Pool
New people inspire her, both their stories and their dreams…
Irma Pool was born in the Namakwaland - a region of the Northern Cape with arid landscapes and warm, welcoming people. Today she still lives in the North Cape, based in Calvinia where she has been operating as an experienced member of the Agrisell team since 2009. Her focuse is on residential properties and farms in the surrounding areas.
“I enjoy the success of making people’s dreams for a home a reality.”
Irma is a farm girl and understands the rigours and rewards of farming. “We farmed with wheat, sheep and Boer goats while also owning the dairy in town.”
She advises anyone buying a farm to consider it in the same way as getting married: “do your homework.”
Her tip for buyers is to look for a place in your price bracket. “You need to be sure about where you want to live and if you will be happy there” she stresses.
Her advice to sellers is to make sure the property’s taxes are up to date. This could significantly delay a transaction. Also, choose a property agency with whom you are comfortable, and which will be able to render a good service.
Irma is married and has a daughter studying global warming and climate change science. As a family, they love to travel and make music.
